2023 ARC Camps and Registration Information 2023 ARC Camps and Registration Information Summer Program Information Camp Connect Information Summer Program As the Autism Resource Centre begins to plan for the 2023 Summer Program, we look forward to returning to a structure that is more typical to what was implemented prior to the pandemic. In addition to a morning routine (individualized goals and life skill development interspersed with fun activities) at the rented facilities in the south end of Regina, campers will have the opportunity to go on regular community outings in addition to swimming every afternoon. Summer Program provides a safe, structured, goal and recreation-based opportunity for autistic youth to learn new skills and maintain a regular, daily routine through the summer months. The program allows kids to be kids as we share in new experiences and a variety of day trips and activities. Youth are paired one-to-one with a support staff. Together they follow an individualized program plan and the staff member facilitates involvement in program activities. The program is designed for school-aged youth that are 7 years of age or older by the start of July. To be able to register, participants must be returning to school in the fall after camp concludes. ** The Summer Program is currently full with a waitlist. To be added to the waitlist, please complete the registration form here: https://camp.autismresourcecentre.com/2023-summer-camp-registration-form/ . You will only be contacted if an opening becomes available. While the chances of getting into the camp are currently low, by completing this form, we will obtain a better sense of the demand of our program and be able to better advocate for an increase of funding from the Saskatchewan Health Authority with the goal of increasing our capacity for future summers. Please reach out to your clinician at the Autism Centre to learn about other programming that may be available to you during the summer. Thanks in advance! ARC Summer Program Registration Information On April 15 th , program forms will go live on ARC’s website at 10:00 AM. There will be a temporary tab added to the top bar to access the online forms. If you want to make sure you get the weeks you are hoping for, it is important to begin filling out the forms as close to the release time as possible. All registration forms received between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM will be placed in a randomized queue for week allocations. Registration forms received after 10:30 AM will be reviewed in order based on the time of submission. Steps for Registration: Prior to registration, ensure you have all the information you will need to complete the registration on hand when registration becomes available. You will be requested to provide the following information for each child attending camp: Health Card Number Doctor’s name and phone number Parent / Guardian contact information Day time contact / phone number for April 21 to set up registration meeting (see step 5 below) Name of Child and Youth Clinician/Social Worker (if applicable) Name of school and teacher Emergency contact information Preferred weeks for Summer Camp (see below) Note: Information on medications will be collected during in-person meetings with directors. On April 15 th at 10:00 AM the summer program registration forms will go live on the Autism Resource Centre website (http://autismresourcecentre.com). Forms will not be accessible prior to 10:00 AM. In the past, those registering after the first 30 minutes of forms releasing have not been able to get into camp, so ensure you pay close attention to the date and time. You will find a tab on the top of the website page through which to access the online forms. Complete these forms as quickly as possible and submit them online On April 21 st , families will be contacted to confirm weeks and schedule a time to meet in-person with Summer Program Directors to discuss goals for the summer. To ensure a camper gets weeks, it is important to both complete the online registration form AND attend your in-person meeting Family meetings will then be held between May 4-May 7 with daytime, evening and weekend options available Program fees must be paid, or a payment plan needs to be put in place, at this meeting. If you are from out of town, we can complete your final registration meeting over the phone. However, some forms must still be completed in person/scanned/faxed before your registration is considered complete. Camper weeks are not finalized until your in-person meeting. Therefore, it is important to attend as scheduled or provide adequate notice to re-book; if not, you may forfeit some of your weeks to other families. Once fees have been paid, a non-refundable $50 administrative fee applies if week(s) are dropped and/or full withdrawal from the program occurs. The weeks available for the 2023 Summer Program are as follows: Week One: Monday, July 10- Friday, July 14 ($300) Week Two: Monday, July 17- Friday, July 21 ($300) Week Three: Monday, July 24- Friday, July 28 ($300) Week Four: Monday, July 31- Friday, August 4 ($300) Week Five: Tuesday, August 8- Friday, August 11 ($240) Week Six: Monday, August 14- Friday, August 18 ($300) Week Seven: Monday, August 21- Thursday, August 24 ($240) Camp fees Camp fees will remain at $60/day.
